Edouard made landfall this morning around Sabine Pass. However, Galveston, along with most of the Houston area, is still getting some strong wind gusts and a large amount of rain. Not much surf on the Island today because the eye of the storm went in to the North of the Island and, consequently, the storm surge and winds are not out of the right direction to make surf on the Island.
