Here are some videos from Indoneisa. In September of 2000 Mike Dean, Bubba Fortini, Sammy Parks, Don Baetge, Albert Shannon, and Chris Shannon ventured half way around the world to surf some of the most beautiful waves known to man. Off the West of the coast of Sumatra, Indonesia are the Metawai Islands. Only accessible by boat, the reefs off of the Mentawais serve up some insane waves. Powerful, mechanical, hollow, consistent, monsterous...mere words cannot describe the perfection of these waves. Sorry the video is kinda jerky, but that is the best we could do filming from the boat.
